Day-trips to London (50 miles) are feasible for museums and theatres.
Sporting Activities Horse riding is a big attraction with many local events and races and there are several riding schools in the area catering for different levels of ability. There are excellent rail connections to London. Pennycroft is an Edwardian cottage set in the woodland and fields of the Berkshire Downs. It is centrally heated and fully modernised. Pubs and restaurant in the nearby village are within walking distance (about 1 mile). Pennycroft has lawns and gardens for picnics and barbeques and ample parking space for several cars.
