Apart from the beaches, the boat-trips to islands and the wonderful shopping, the region abounds with State Parks where this wonderful sub-tropical Eco-system is being preserved. These parks usually incorporate nature trails, boat tours, canoe rentals, and those on island have, of course, mile upon mile of sandy beaches with great shelling. The wildlife to be enjoyed includes pelicans, egrets, pretty scarlet cardinals, red-cockaded woodpeckers, raccoons, bobcats, alligators, manatees, bald eagles. Beaches Englewood Beach has light-coloured sand and tufts of sea oats growing along the dune line. There are public toilets, freshwater showers, a playground, sheltered picnic and barbeque areas and parking. Close by, but more secluded, is Stump Pass Beach - a great place to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. Other beaches nearby include Blind Pass Beach, Manasota Beach, Gasparilla State Recreation Area, Don Pedro State Park and Boca Grande. Our home offers all you need for an utterly relaxing holiday. The villa is light and spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped, air-conditioned, with cathedral ceilings, poolside bedrooms, spacious well-equipped kitchen and ceramic-tiled bathrooms, overlooks a secluded canal. Fully air-conditioned, our house boasts a king-size double master bedroom, en-suite bathroom with a huge walk-in shower with his-and-hers wash basins. Patio doors lead onto the poolside, for your morning coffee, whilst you watch the local wildlife.
