It has spectacular views of El Torcal and is an excellent base for relaxing, walking, cycling, bird watching and exploring Andalucia. From the cottage you can walk down to the river below, listen to the frog chorus in the spring and watch turtles and a variety of birds including egrets, hoopoes and the occasional eagle. It has a heated 10m by 5m pool and generous terraces with teak furniture where you can relax, admire the views, enjoy a glass of wine or cook on the gas barbecue.
The living area has a fully fitted kitchen and is comfortably furnished. It has satellite TV and a DVD/CD player. The two bedrooms can be arranged for double or twin beds, and have air conditioning. The house is fully centrally heated.
Torcal Vista is a 5 minute drive from the nearest bar and restaurant. It is between Casabermeja and Villanueva de la Concepcion, traditional Andalucian towns with shops, bars, banks and restaurants and a medical centre. Behind Villanueva is the Torcal Natural Park, famous for its wonderful limestone scenery and spectacular views. The Mountains of Malaga and the El Chorro gorge are within easy driving distance. The road to El Torcal leads on to undiscovered Antequera, with it shistoric churches and buildings, its castle and ancient dolmens. It also has shops, restaurants, and a bull ring. Malaga, a lively and attractive Spanish resort, is a half hour drive away. It,too, has historic sites as well as the famous Picasso museum, excellent bars and restaurants, some by the beach, and a good shopping centre. Good road links make Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Ronda easily accessible for day trips.
