Studio for rent in BRETIGNOLLES, VENDEE COAST, PAYS DE LA LOIRE la Haute Rivoire, a traditional 18th Century Vendean farmhouse sits in 2 acres in a rural setting only 1 mile from the surfing spot of La Sauzaie, so you can return to childfree tranquillity after a hard day's sightseeing or lazing on one of the nearby fine sandy beaches. The farmhouse,and some of the outbuildings have been carefully renovated, retaining the old beams, (mind your head gentlemen!) to provide comfortable studio-gite accommodation just for couples. Double beds or twin (in First floor Grenier) baths/showers. Each studio-gite is different but each has a well-equipped kitchenette, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, kettle, coffee making facilities and teapot!, comfortable seating, dining table and chairs, shower room or bathroom. outside each property is a table, chairs and parasol or shady vine or tree for al-fresco dining, otherwise plenty of space in the grounds to find a quiet spot to read - or you can feed the carp in the pond. The owner's have a 10M x5M pool and guests are welcome to use the pool and the sunlounging area, as the pool is surrounded by shrubs and trees it's very sheltered. If you're flying to one of the low cost airports (nearest are Nantes, la Rochelle - about an hour's drive) we can supply linen and towels, groceries for your arrival.) We're biker-friendly so if you're arriving by bike we have hairdryers for loan, plus beach mats and other things too big for bikes. During the sumer there are lots of festivals, fetes, exhibitions, firework displays, music -mostly free of charge, as well as a host of cultural exhibits, museums for which a nominal charge is made. the heritage park of Puy du Fou, about an hour's drive, has a superb Son et Lumière as well as a fascinating day visit. We like our guests to feel at home so that they can unwind -that is why we do not take children or animals.
