Gite for rent in Blavet Valley, Brittany  'Cherries' |  Coach House' |  'Gallery' |  Caravan | Nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Blavet Valley, La Metairie is within easy reach of medieval towns and the lovely beaches of the Morbihan coast. There are shops, bars and also beautiful riverside restaurants, where one can relax and savour the local wines whilst watching the boats on the River Blavet amble by.
La Metairie is situated approximately 14 kms south of Pontivy. St Goustan is the local historic port that, during the summer, offers a lively atmosphere amongst its art galleries and seafood restaurants. The towpaths along the river are an ideal starting point for walking or cycling along. Alternatively golfing, horse riding; fishing and canoeing can also be enjoyed.
Excellent shopping facilities are within easy reach. Baud is 12 kms away, and offers all the usual provisions, and takes only 15 mins to reach. The coast is approximately a 30kms drive away with the safe and sandy beaches of Carnac, La Trinite sur Mer and Locmariaquer. For those feeling mor adventurous, the islands in the delightful Gulf of Morbihan can easily be reached by ferryboat from the small port of Quiberon. There is also Lake Guerledan offering watersports, leisure cruises and picnic areas.
La Metairie offers three charming gites adjacent to the farmhouse, that have been tastefully and comfortably furnished, allowing couples to enjoy peace and tranquility in lovely surroundings.
CHERRIES
This pretty gite has a kitchen/living area on the ground floor, furnished with sofabed, coffee table and bistro table and chairs. The kitchen area has a gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave. The bathroom which is also on the ground floor has shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Upstairs in the bedroom is a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and dressing table.
This gite benefits from a small outside dining space and we are prepared to accept pets subject to certain conditions.
THE COACH HOUSE
This ground floor gite has an open plan sitting and sleeping area with a kingsize four poster bed, painted furniture, a two seater settee, antique chair, coffee table and stereo. The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave, table and chairs. The bathroom has shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
THE GALLERY
This first floor gite is has an open plan sitting and sleeping area with French style bed and oriental lacquered furniture, two armchairs and a dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave and a fridge with a freezer compartment. The bathroom has shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
Our orchard is provided with barbeque facilities and plenty of garden furniture.
We also offer on-site laundry facilities.
In addition, we can also offer accommodation in our Caravan which sleeps a maximum of 8 and is located on a south coast campsite 5 minutes from the beach. The campsite is English run and offers excellent facilities for children and adults alike.
