Comfortable, well-equipped house to rent for self-catering holidays in Spain. House has two bedrooms – one double with wc cubicle and vanity unit with whb, the other a twin-bedded room also with vanity unit complete with whb. Lounge, Kitchen/Dining, Bathroom with bath and shower. Front terrace with cane table and chairs.

Situated in a lane behind the European Shopping Centre at Paichi, with views towards the mountains. There are a few small shops and bars which sell pub-grub during the day and early evening. There is a large modern Supermarket (Mas y Mas) within 5 mins walk which is open from 9 am until 9 pm, half day Sunday. There is an Irish bar and a Spanish style Restaurant (Don Quixote) which has theme nights, live music, quiz nights etc. The centre of Moraira, harbour, marina and beach are approximately 1 mile away on a flat road. The village has an assortment of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. There are no high-rise hotels or large commercial apartment blocks in Moraira and the vast majority of the houses are privately-owned.

There are many places of interest in the area – Guadalest, Calpe, Altea, Javea, Benidorm, Terra-Mitica, all within an easy drive. The inland area is mostly agricultural land and has rugged scenery with orange, lemon and almond groves, small bodegas and some excellent restaurants. The whole area is well worth exploring, some of the mountain passes are, however, not for the faint-hearted ! Alicante airport is about 80 kms away, either on a toll or secondary road.

The house is fully-equipped for 4 people with a/c unit in lounge, digital tv, DVD player and a selection of films, music centre. etc. The kitchen has a washing machine, micro-wave, fridge/freezer, toaster, elec. kettle, iron etc. There are ample supplies of linen and towels although you may wish to take your own beach towels. Hot water is by gas combi-boiler which ensures constant hot water for showers etc. The two bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans for use in the hot summer months. There are three portable gas heaters and a wood-burning stove in the Lounge for the colder months.

The rental charge varies from GBP 150 per week (or GBP 450 per month) from November until end March, GBP 200 per week in April/May/June/October and GBP 220 per week in July, August and September. This is all-inclusive with the only extras being for gas refills as and when required (about GBP 6 each). Although Moraira is generally a tranquil resort, the summer months of July and August especially are lively with the bars opening later at night to provide entertainment for the visitors. Lots of Europeans and Scandinavians own property in Moraira and they use the summer months for their vacations.
